Amy Dixon approaches painting much as she does her life…intuitively with free expression. Her work is about color, immediacy and an emotional response to the world around her. She is constantly thinking about the language of color and how it expresses energy and spontaneity. Her paintings of interiors may be moody, mysterious, or simply representational of an event, place, or spirit. Dixon holds a BA in Studio Art from Newcomb College of Tulane University, and spent a year of post-graduate study at the Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy. undefined
