"Ariel was born into a family of richly mixed culture ; these uniquely different cultural heritages introduced Ariel to undeniable senses of style. Ariel's schooling leaned toward the arts and when he wasn't molding small sculptures out of clay, he was scratching countless drawings in his sketchbook. So, it was only logical for Ariel to pursue a Fine Arts Degree at the University of Mexico. By studying the works of the great artist that came before him, his passion was ignited and his determination proved to be unstoppable. Upon graduating, Ariel became one of the youngest teachers to instruct art in a high school in Mexico City, and had the opportunity to show his work at different local venues, including the prestigious "Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros" .
His first international showcase was in Salt Lake City, Utah during the Winter Olympics as a city host,
representing the visual arts from Mexico. Following the winter games showcase, Ariel received
invitations to show in area galleries as well as offers elsewhere in the US, so he decided to make the
move to Los Angeles. Here, Vargassal's work has been featured on different publications, cover books
and TV shows. Vargassal has been fortunate enough to work with young hollywood stars as his
models and clients.
Aside from Mexico City, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles, Ariel has showcased his work in Arizona, San
Francisco, and New York. He is a member of The Los Angeles Art Association, one of the oldest and
most prestigious art associations in the west coast. He had work with International Curators; in the
beginning of 2013 his work was shown at The International Surrealism in Lisboa, Portugal, and he has
recently received invitations to show in Montreal, Canada (GALERIE GORA, art contemporain),
Germany (the Contemporary Museum in Berlin) and France." http://www.arielvargassal.com/Person.html undefined
