Balbusso Twins are internationally recognized award winning Italian illustrators team, with a unique signature ANNA+ELENA=BALBUSSO TWINS, who work has been published by major international publishers and companies through out the world on various media types such as book jackets, magazines, newspapers including The New York Times, The New Yorker Magazine, Reader's Digest Magazine, le Figaro Group, in house corporate, promotion, ads.
They have illustrated over 40 books (children picture books, classic novels, fiction). Their artwork has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and galleries in Italy and abroad. The prestigious NORMAN ROCKWELL MUSEUM (Stockbridge, Massachusetts US) has included Balbusso Twins among the illustrators of The Decade 2010-present (time periods) in their www.illustrationhistory.org website.
In 2016 Balbusso Twins were invited to partecipate at two prestigious events at the TRIENNALE MILANO DESIGN MUSEUM: W-Women in Italian Design XXI Triennale Milano (with their St. Catherine of Alexandria painting) exhibition curated by Silvana Annicchiarico, and “Normali Meraviglie. La mano” (Normal Wonders. The Hand), charity exhibition curated by Alessandro Guerriero and Alessandra Zucchi. Balbusso Twins interpret a ceramic hand designed by the celebrity artist Mimmo Paladino. Anna and Elena Balbusso have been included among the 18 greatest italian artists in the "ilustración infantil y juvenil: excelencias italianas" Children's illustration: Italian Excellence travel show (2015-2016) organized by the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the Italian Institute of Culture of Madrid and of Berlin.
