The Los Angeles River is a natural river that flows from the western mountains of the San Fernando Valley, down through LA county and out to the Pacific ocean through Long Beach. Once a free-flowing river, now it’s contained on a fix path via a concrete channel. The river is a haven for wildlife amidst the urban sprawl of the city. The Hyperion Bridge is one of the many bridges that spans its length.
