Artwork Title: Handprint of Madame Nijinski from Charlotte Wolff (1930s)

Handprint of Madame Nijinski from Charlotte Wolff (1930s), 2011

Hans Peter Feldmann

This work consists of 10 ink-jet prints of handprints by historic artistic and literary figures of the early 20th century such as Aldous Huxley, Marcel Duchamp and Paul Eluard. All 10 people were in some way connected to the Surrealist movement. Feldmann has enlarged the size of each handprint from the source material, a set of handprints taken by Charlotte Wolff in the 1930s. https://www.artfund.org/supporting-museums/art-weve-helped-buy/artwork/11748/handprint-posters-hans-peter-feldmann
