Painted c. 1894-1900. In 2009, in a poll organized by OOG, the magazine of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, this painting was voted the most beautiful nude painting in the Netherlands. The public could choose from 69 paintings by Dutch artists ranging from Rembrandt to Appel.
