Jean-Claude Götting was born in Paris in 1963. After studying at Applied Arts Duperré in Paris, he made his first comic strip works with the PLG fanzine , then at Futuropolis. Creve-Coeur, his first comic book, received the prize for best first album in Angoulême in 1986 - before focusing on press and publishing illustration, as well as painting.
