Kosti Kalervo (Kalle) Eskola (21 May 1912 Turku - 1988); Finnish painter. His works were first publicly displayed at the Vyborg Artists' Association 6th Annual exhibition Vyborg in 1935.
Eskola belonged to a group of modernist Turku artists built largely around Otto Mäkilä, who received the title of Group 9. With the painter Kauko Lehtinen, Eskola made a number of study trips abroad, including in 1949 a 2-month trip to the Nordic countries, and in 1954 a 3-month trip to Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Eskola was an artist especially known for good värisilmästään and muodontajustaan.
Eskola received the Pro Finlandia medal in 1968. (A really loose translation by Google Translate of https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalle_Eskola) undefined
