Marie Wilson-Valaoritis was a painter and ceramic artist in the circle of the Surrealists, a great friend of Andre and Elisa Breton, Wolfgang Paalen and many others, having also worked in the studio of Picasso. Breton, who recognized her talent, included her in an exhibition in Paris and published her in his magazine, Surréalisme Même.
She took part in an important exhibition on Surrealism in the modern art museum at the Pompidou Centre, Paris in 1991.
She strongly felt that while working, a great cosmic harmony that is expressed in symmetry was coming through her into the world. undefined
