“I’ve been interested in photography for as long as remember. But I was never much of a darkroom guy and I struggled to express my artistic vision. Then, in 2006, I bought my first digital SLR and began to hone my Photoshop skills. For the first time, I could control every aspect of image from capture to presentation and it opened up a new creative world. At the same time, photo sharing sites like flickr were coming into their own; I was able to get instant feedback on my work and find daily inspiration in the work of others. What had been a mere interest became a passion. People quickly became my favorite subject and lighting became my brush. I try to approach each project with a passion for the fresh perspective. I look for the unexpected places where classic style takes creative twists and turns. Whether shooting portraiture, glamour, art nude or fashion, I view every shoot as a chance to create something new and exciting. The images that emerge can evoke a wide range of styles and moods, but each one attempts to tell a unique and visually compelling story.” (http://www.volomagazine.com/matthew-dickstein/) undefined
