This vibrant spring image of sheep grazing was designed by Oscar Rabe Hanson. The North Shore line was an electric railway running between the downtowns of Chicago & Milwaukee. In the 1920s, 40 trains a day made this speedy journey. By 1963, commuting changes and corporate tax losses made it worth more dead than alive and the line was abandonded.
