Artwork Title: House on the Gein

House on the Gein, 1900

Piet Mondrian

Although mostly known for his modern abstractions, Piet Mondrian also explored artistic landscapes and still lifes with watercolors. The majority of these works were painted prior to 1911, when he became captivated by cubism. From that point forward his painting evolved from abstract to completely non-representational.
