Artwork Title: NYC 12
Ronald Dupont (1961) is a self-educated artist and works and resides in Belgium. He is best known for his large-scale works of New York, as he perfecty captures the bustle and frantic energy of the city that never sleeps. The artist uses oil paint with Venice turpentine, enabling him to capture most vibrating reflections of the city in his paintings. Since 2010 his focus is also geared towards other big cities, such as Paris, Barcelona, London. Lately he even concentrates on the views of outstretched beaches, succesfully so, in Northern France, especially Le Touquet (also known as “Paris Plage”).
