Artwork Title: Icarus Flilght

Icarus Flilght, 1978

Rudy Karel Schneeweiss

From Greek mythology: Icarus and his father Daedalus constructed wings and flew into the sky. Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too close to the Sun, or the wax binding feathers to the wings would melt, resulting in disaster. Icarus did not listen to his father advice. He plummeted to the ground and died.
