"Song Lianmin was born in Anhui province, China, on 1 July 1961. Since young, his father encouraged him to read widely and cultivate his interest for ancient Chinese literature. It often depicts nature through poems and proverbs. Hence, this led him to be mesmerized by art and the interaction between man and nature. In his village, there was a small stream. Seeing the stream flow to the horizon shows how art has endless opportunities for one to take up and excel, flowing towards success.
Song was fortunate to be exposed to China's history of art. As such, his works are inspired by the works of famous local artists such as Han Mei Ling. moreover, Song had the chance to be under tutelage from local artists such as Fan Zeng, Huang Yong Yu and Jing Shang Yu before studying in the local art college. They greatly influenced his style in later years.
... Apart from exhibitions, he did large-scale paintings and sculptures to be displayed in public areas around the country. He has also produced a documentary for central television station titled "墙上的艺术" which is also known as "mural art". http://www.studio67.com.sg/#!song-lian-min/cuwm
