Timba Smits is an award-winning, Australian-born, Berlin-based graphic artist, illustrator and wanderer.
Timba started out in the mid-2000s, self-publishing the cult 'MEGAzine' Wooden Toy Quarterly – famous for being the only quarterly indie mag to come out once per year – and proud of it!. For a time he was co-founder and Art Director of Melbourne's Gorker Gallery before migrating north to London where he later went on to become Creative Director of iconic British magazines Little White Lies and Huck.
In early 2017, after a decade of designing magazines, Timba decided to shift his focus towards his core passion in illustration and graphic art and now makes inspired artwork for some of the world's leading magazines and brands including The New York Times, Playboy, Miller Lite, ESPN, SBS Broadcasting, WIRED Magazine, Esquire, The Guardian, Courier, Mens Health, Mens Fitness, Johnny Cupcakes and Ride Snowboards as well as having been featured in numerous design, illustration and art publications, both in print and online. undefined
