(Thomson gave this painting to Alice Eleanor Lambert. Purchased from Alice by a Canadian historian and recently authenticated by experts, it is the first known oil painting by Thomson. In 1904, this spot on the shore of Lake Washington was popular for bathing and was at the end of the trolley line which passed by Tom's boarding house.)
