"...He sees an inexhaustible source of beauty and creative energy in the eternality of nature, therefore his works focus foremost on landscapes and still-lifes. A landscape for Vasiliy Peshkun is a space where man lives; a concrete place on a geographic map with it's own natural and architectural characteristics; it is a spiritually symbolic area that forms
characters, ways of thinking, and the aesthetic values of an individual. The artist uses his perception of this space, his subjective view on the world, to attempt to reach a deeper connection between man and nature.
...Vasil creates all of his works exclusively in nature. This is the important principle of his work. A painting is
created practically in one sitting. It is the result of a momentary burst of impressions that requires instant embodiment.
His still-lifes reveal his admiration for the vast scope of nature's creations and his attentive study of their details. ... http://www.peshkun.com/index.php?dir=bio&lng=eng undefined
