Bedroom in Arles (French: La Chambre à Arles; Dutch: Slaapkamer te Arles) is the title given to each of 3 similar paintings by van Gogh. His own title for this composition was simply The Bedroom. There are 3 authentic versions described in his letters, easily discernible from one another by the pictures on the wall to the right. This is the third version, end September 1889. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedroom_in_Arles
...Van Gogh created a smaller third version, now at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, as a gift for his mother and sister a few weeks after making the second. While the 3 paintings at first appear almost identical, when examined closely, each reveals distinct and unique details. (http://www.artic.edu/exhibition/van-goghs-bedrooms)
