Rebirth - Illumination - Visualization
As the Sun makes its way across the sky, it rejuvenates, nourishes, and brings life to all it touches. Eventually, the Sun departs beneath the horizon, only to return again the next day. There are a number of cultures that revere the cyclical nature of the Sun. The constant birth, journey, and death of the sun is perpetual; symbolizing the cycle of life, and the concept of rebirth.
This card refers to the power of illumination and visualization. In some cases, it indicates a source of inspiration or energy is present that is needed for progress and growth. This card also references the sun’s ability to reveal and selectively shine light on the matters at hand.
When the Sun card is reversed, it is a challenge to remember every day starts anew, regardless how dark the night may be. Like anything that shines, with brightness comes shadow. It is the nature of balance. Additionally, there are those that will only see the shadows cast by the sun’s brilliance.
