The Cushing family spent much of their time at their 35-acre Newport estate, The Ledges, built by Cushing's father, Robert M. Cushing, and in Europe.... Cushing's Interior at Newport featured Ethel and one of the children in The Ledges. It hangs in the Cushing Memorial Gallery in Newport.
