From Jugend, 1910.
Richard Pfeiffer print of a painting published in Die Jugend [Youth] March 1910: `An die Nacht` [Night Song]. The text of the poem by Wilhelm Michel, which is depicted on the lower right corner, was set by Aloys Fleischmann senior in a song written in March 1910. It was published by Augener of London in 1929. He says in the Diary entry how he liked that song. (http://fleischmanndiaries.ucc.ie/portfolio/3875/)
Jugend ("Youth" in German) was a German art magazine created in the late 19th century. The magazine was based in Munich. It featured many famous Art Nouveau artists and is the source of the term "Jugendstil" ("Jugend-style"), the German version of Art Nouveau. The magazine was founded by writer Georg Hirth.
Jugend became the namesake of the art direction of German Art Nouveau. In addition to modern illustrations and ornamentation of art nouveau, other styles played a role, especially Impressionism.... (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jugend_(magazine))
